When “fine” isn’t okay, volunteers at Kids Help Phone offer youth from coast to coast a safe space for their feelings and the chance to talk through them with empathetic support. Learn more about volunteering for KHP’s free, 24/7, bilingual e-mental health service.

How to Get Help
If you or someone you know is struggling, help can be as simple as a text message. A growing number of crisis lines now offer support via text and chat, allowing people to connect with trained counselors in a way that’s convenient for them.
When you text 741741, you’ll be connected with a volunteer Crisis Counselor who will listen to you with care and compassion. Your conversation will last for up to 45 minutes. Your counselor will share resources, ask questions and empathetically listen. It’s just you and your counselor in that moment, and it is completely confidential.
If you’re interested in helping to make an impact, you can donate to Crisis Text Line or share this info with the people in your life who could use it. You never know when someone you know will need this service. Having this resource available can make all the difference. The Trevor Project also offers phone and chat services for LGBTQ youth in crisis.
